Baptism in the Parish

Our regular baptism times are:

2nd Sunday of the month at St John Vianney Church 11am (Fr Brannelly or Fr Lotton)
4th Sunday of the month at St Jude’s Church 11am (Rev Deacon Barclay)

We can’t guarantee that other times will be available: this would need to be discussed with celebrant. Also, we prefer not to have a single baptism time with more than 4 children involved.

If you would like a celebrant other than Fr Brannelly, Fr Lotton or Rev Deacon Barclay to conduct the baptism, this would need to be agreed to by Fr Brannelly.

Please fill out the form below, and the secretary will call or email you to confirm the date and place for the baptism.

(If you have not previously attended a Baptismal Preparation Course, it is a requirement as part of preparing for the baptism. The parish’s course is conducted by Rev Deacon Barclay at St Thomas the Apostle Church, Boddington Crescent, Kambah. Please ring 6231 9219 (9.00 am to 12.00 noon) to book for the session. If you do not live in this parish, a preparation course conducted by your home parish is suitable.

If it is your first child to be baptised then your baptism date can’t be confirmed until you have had contact with Fr Brannelly or Fr Lotton if they will be the celebrant. As part of contacting the parish secretary, she will liaise with the priests and they will organise a suitable meeting time for you. If Deacon Vince is celebrating the baptism with you, attending the class allows you to ask any questions you may have, directly to him.

There is a $50 stipend to be paid for celebrating the baptism.  You can use the link below to go to a BPoint Secure Payment service provided by the Commonwealth Bank. (PAY HERE) you can pay it in person at the presbytery or via direct deposit BSB: 062-786 Account No:000022177(please include WestonCreek SF and  the child’s name so we can put the payment to the baptism; and please email the presbytery letting us know that you have made the payment)

If you do not live in this Parish of Weston Creek permission of your own Parish Priest must be sought. Below is a letter that can be taken to your parish office for signing.
